Thanks to all of the students who applied for the Logan Telephone Cooperative Educational Scholarships. There were many excellent applications and essays, and we appreciate the time you took in compiling the requested information. The scholarship committee spent several hours reviewing all of the applications and had a difficult time choosing only three.
This is the 15th year that Logan Telephone has awarded scholarships. Since 1998, LTC has awarded $48,000 to local students to help further their education. The Cooperative is proud to sponsor the youth of our community who set excellent examples of hard work, dedication, and charisma. There are so many fine young people in our area, and we’re proud to have the opportunity to make a contribution to their futures.
We wish all of the applicants the best of luck in their college endeavors!
“Round-Up”... Small Change that Changes Lives
Logan Telephone Cooperative’s Round-Up program is a voluntary program in which a member elects to have their monthly telephone bill “rounded up” to the next whole dollar. Monies collected will be used to provide assistance to community and charitable causes (e.g. the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, a Christmas project through the schools’ family resource centers that help needy families, etc).
How does Round-Up work? Say your telephone bill for the month is $40.72. As a “Round-Up” participant, your bill is automatically “rounded up” to $41.00. The maximum annual amount that a customer will donate is $11.88 ($0.99 per month).
How will the money be distributed? All Round-Up contributions are administered by a committee that is responsible for distributing funds raised through member participation. Logan Telephone Cooperative will cover all administrative costs of the program.
If you would like to sign up for Round-Up, please just give us a call today at 542-4121 or 934-4121 or email us at cservice@logantele.com. Your small change can change someone’s life this holiday season!
