“Round-Up”… Small Change
that Changes Lives
Logan Telephone Cooperative’s Round-Up program is a voluntary program in which a member elects to have their monthly telephone bill “rounded up” to the next whole dollar. Monies collected will be used to provide assistance to community and charitable causes (e.g. the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, a Christmas project through the schools’ family resource centers that help needy families, etc).
How does Round-Up work?
Say your telephone bill for the month is $40.72. As a “Round-Up” participant, your bill is automatically “rounded up” to $41.00. The maximum annual amount that a customer will donate is $11.88 ($0.99 per month).
All Round-Up contributions are administered by a committee that is responsible for distributing funds raised through member participation. Logan Telephone Cooperative covers all administrative costs of the program to ensure that 100% of donated dollars are distributed to community and charitable causes.
Simply give us a call today at 542-4121 or 934-4121, or you can email us at cservice@logantele.com. Your small change can change someone’s life!
Permissive Dialing Date for 364
Area Code Delayed Again
On May 31, 2007 the Kentucky Public Service Commission ordered a split of the existing 270 area code. This was required because our area is running out of phone numbers. The good news is that all Logan Telephone customers will be able to keep their 270 area code numbers. Areas west of us like Henderson, Hopkinsville, Madisonville, Murray and Paducah will be changing their area code to 364. A period of permissive dialing, where customers in those areas can be reached by either area code, will now begin on January 1, 2012. Mandatory dialing for the new area code will be determined at a later time.
